REGISTATION INFORMATION

Registration will be conducted in the foyer of F Block, at QUT’s Kelvin Grove Campus.

Please note that all registration fees are quoted in Australian Dollars and include 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Registration fees will be as follows:

Fulltime Registration

Fulltime Registration includes the following:

  • Session and trade exhibition admission
  • Daily morning and afternoon teas
  • Lunch
  • Conference satchel containing the conference handbook and other materials

3 Day Member                         $495
3 Day Member Teacher             $350
3 Day Member Student             $220
3 Day Non Member                   $550 OR $630 including 12 months of ACHPER membership
3 Day Non Member Teacher      $440 OR $490 including 12 months of ACHPER membership
3 Day Non Member Student       $270 OR $300 including 12 months of ACHPER membership

* Please note that Member refers to a current (fees paid up) member of the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER). Non-Member is everyone who is not a member of ACHPER. Please note that teacher refers to educators employed in primary and secondary schools. This does not include academics working in universities. Please provide your school's name as your organisation when you register for the conference. Students are to be currently enrolled in study at a university or TAFE. You must be able to provide a valid student card at request. If you have any confusion about whether you fit into a category, please contact Anne-Maree Huggett at Annemaree.huggett@qut.edu.au.

2 Day Non Member                   $440 OR $530 including 12 months of ACHPER membership

2 Day Non Member Student       $220 OR $250 including 12 months of ACHPER membership

Registration cancellation policy
Registration cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing to the Event Manager, either by mail, fax or email. Cancellations received prior to 8 May 2009 will be refunded less $100 (please note if you have not paid you will still be invoiced this amount). No registration refunds will be made after this date, except in special circumstances. Cancellations received within four weeks prior to the start date will be charged the full fee (even if payment has not already been received).

Payment

  • All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST
  • Payment will only be accepted in Australian Dollars.
  • Details of QUT’s bank account for electronic funds transfers can be given on request. Please contact the event manager for details
  • Please note accommodation cannot be booked unless credit card details are received by the event manager.

Privacy statement
Your name, organisation and country/state of origin may be published on the delegate list which is provided to delegates at the workshop.  Your name and contact information may be used by the conference managers and other approved stakeholders such as the host body for promotion, networking, revenue raising and administration of this and future events of this type (including provision of a delegate list to conference sponsors and exhibitors).

CONFERENCE DINNER


The ACHPER International Conference Dinner will be held at The Summit Restaurant at the beautiful Mt Cootha Lookout.

Offering spectacular panoramic views of Brisbane stretching to Moreton Bay, dining at the Summit is a memorable experience in a truly unique setting with award winning contemporary cuisine.

The breathtaking panorama of Brisbane City and it's surrounds greets you as you step onto the observation deck. By night, a fairyland of glittering lights and starlit sky surrounds you. Interpretive facilities, a wishing waterfall and beautifully manicured gardens further enhance the complex and blend harmoniously with the surrounding native bushland.

ACHPER conference delegates will receive the following with their conference dinner ticket:

  • Coach transfers to and from the venue from Brisbane City
  • Canapes
  • 3 course gourmet meal
  • Beer, wine and softdrink
  • An opportunity to let your hair down with a night of networking and fun!

Please note that there is ample car-parking onsite at the venue, should you wish to drive to the dinner. The address is Sir Samuel Griffith Drive, Brisbane Lookout, Mt Cootha. Guests and partners are more than welcome to attend the dinner with you.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION DESK

The registration desk will be open from 0800 each day of the conference.

MESSAGES

Please deliver any messages to the staff at the conference registration desk. We will pass these messages along as soon as possible.

DRESS

Smart casual is suitable attire for the conference sessions.

PARKING

Parking at Kelvin Grove Campus is limited, and we recommend that you use public transport. For more information, please click here.

There are several methods to getting around Brisbane. They can be found in the following places:

AIRPORT
